Important things to note
- Registration
- Each individual guest must register at this link on or before
Wednesday, 09/29.
- You will be asked for name and email, as well as for consent to
share your results with the event host. You may decline sharing
results via CLEAR, though you'll later need a printed copy of your
negative test before entering Adler Planetarium.
- At the clinic, please inform the attendant or nurse that you are
already registered for the "Briggs Wedding".
- Results
- The whole in-and-out should be 15-20 minutes, after which your
results will be emailed to you within the hour, then shared with us.
- If your sample indicates no presence of coronavirus, you are good to
go.
- If you do test positive for COVID-19, you'll likely want to return
to the clinic for a second test to confirm. If you test positive
again, I am most regretfully obliged to say, you'll have to sit out
the wedding and brunch events 😢.
- Pretravel Test
- To reduce the chance of a surprise result, we strongly recommend a
COVID test before leaving home, whether at a local clinic or with an
at-home rapid test like this, available at, e.g. CVS Pharmacy.
It is heartbreaking to imagine turning any of you loved ones away at the
doorstep. But in consideration of the totality of circumstances particular
to us, you all, this event, etc., we feel after prolonged reflection that
if, at the moment, COVID-19 is sufficiently present to confirm your
positive test, the risk that you have an active infection and can spread
the virus to other wedding guests, one or more of whom could have an
unpredictably severe reaction, is not one to which we feel comfortable
consenting. Of course, in this event, we pray you yourself can avoid the
worst of it! A to-be-determined compassionate soul in our wedding party
will call you to acknowledge and commiserate.
